Part of the $350,000 awarded to the Legacy Institute for
Financial Education will go toward providing WiFi hotspots through
Sprint and AT&T for low-income houses to be used for up to 10
devices for applying for jobs, checking their bank accounts and
more.
The Legacy Institute for Financial Education has received $350,000 in grants to train members of the Black community in areas of the information technology field, including a grant given by Microsoft only awarded to 50 organizations in the nation.
