While speaking to a private TV channel, Fadnavis said Saturday, "Based on earlier Supreme Court and Election Commission of India orders, one can easily arrive at the conclusion that Eknath Shinde will not get disqualified”.
The deputy CM was accompanied by his wife Amruta Fadnavis when he met Shinde at his residence where the CM's parliamentarian son Shrikant Shinde was also present.
Backed by the BJP, Shinde on Thursday took oath as the chief minister of Maharashtra with the support of a breakaway faction of Shiv Sena MLAs and Independents.
