By Benjamin Njoku Fans of popular actor, Ernest Asuzu, on Wednesday, took to social media to slam practitioners in the Nigerian movie industry and particularly, the  Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, following the sudden death of the actor. Asuzu succumbed to death on Tuesday after many years of battling depression and stroke. He was 37. His wife, Jennifer, who announced his demise, said the actor died after he slumped and did not regain consciousness. Incessant deaths: Actors guild organises health workshop

Punch Newspapers Sections Published 1 January 2021 The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) is set to hold a health workshop for its members following growing cases of deaths in the industry. This was disclosed in an address by the AGN’s National President, Ejezie Emeka Rollas. In the statement made available to The Punch titled, “End Of The Year Message By The President Of Actors Guild Of Nigeria”, Rollas lamented the recent deaths of late legendary director and filmmaker, Chico Ejiro and National PRO, in Government of National Unity, Late Frank Dallas. “The increase in the death of our major practitioners arising from sudden death is getting to an alarming rate,” he said.
