Mary Eileen Mooney was just 18 when she gave birth to the baby boy on Long Island and she gave him up for adoption just a few days later. In the years since his birth in 1967, she’s searched for him, but didn’t have any luck, until last month. Mooney did a 23andMe DNA test and matched with Bill White in March. The genetic testing service led her to her son, who had also recently done the test and was looking to find his biological mother. The pair was reunited this week for the first time in 54 years and they’re both thrilled!
