A hot pace is expected in Saturday’s Alexander Hamilton Trophy at a mile, giving Gary Subratie’s rejuvenated stayer, CRIMSON, a sound chance of catching the speedsters in the stretch run at Caymanas Park.
CRIMSON is up against lightning-fast four-year-old filly, ENGLAND’S ROSE, as well as three renowned sprinter-stayers – SUPERLUMINAL, ROY ROGERS, and JAMAI RAJA.
ENGLAND’S ROSE is by far the quickest in the eight-horse line-up but will have to be throttled at the distance, having never raced beyond last Saturday’s six and a half furlongs in the Eileen Cliggott Memorial.

TOONA CILIATA on Saturday outfinished GOD OF LOVE by three-quarter lengths at Caymanas Park to land the six-and-half furlong Eileen Cliggott Memorial feature event with nine-pound claiming jockey Romario Spencer.
Called in by champion trainer Anthony Nunes to reduce the topweight of 130 pounds, Spencer used TOONA CILIATA to settle in fourth off the cracking pace set by PATRIARCH, who led ENGLAND S ROSE into the straight.
Set down by Spencer, TOONA CILIATA closed with GOD OF LOVE challenging on his outside and proved stronger in the lunge for the wire.
