Members of United Mine Workers Local 2397 voted April 9 on whether to accept a tentative agreement with the owners of Warrior Met Coal reached on April 5. The miners rejected the contract. The strike continues.
BROOKWOOD, Ala. – More than 1,100 United Mine Workers of America members struck Warrior Met Coal April 1, after contract negotiations with the bosses failed to reach an agreement acceptable to the union.
