CAMDEN NJ – Authorities have arrested two city men and confiscated $220,000 worth of illegal drugs, an unregistered 9-mm “ghost gun” and an AR-15 assault rifle, each with illegal high-capacity magazines.
“More and more, we see criminals arm themselves with ‘ghost guns,’ because (these weapons) are virtually untraceable and can be purchased as kits without background checks,” said state Attorney General Gurbir Grewal, announcing the charges against Camden residents Marcos Hernandez and Efrain Padilla.
Grewal, in a prepared release, explained that so-called “ghost guns” do not have serial numbers and “pose a deadly threat to our residents and police officers.”
