FALL RIVER The inaugural We HeART Fall River festival will be taking place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, in downtown Fall River. The event offers three unique event areas located around the Government Center, creating a festive perimeter of free activities for all ages (and pets). We HeART Fall River is a community celebration that invites attendees to engage with community resources and with one another, while celebrating the City s creative spirit in a safe, outdoor environment. Entrepreneurship for All (EforAll), a nonprofit with locations across Massachusetts, received a $277,777 grant from Facebook after being nominated by the media platform s employees as part of a $10 million racial justice grant initiative.
The local nonprofit partners with communities nationwide to help under-represented individuals start and grow a business. Its programs, offered in English and Spanish, provide training, mentorship and networking.
“Entrepreneurship is a critical component of both addressing the racial wealth gap and ensuring a thriving, vibrant economy in communities across the United States,” said David Parker, CEO of EforAll, in a statement.
EforAll was one of 37 organizations selected from a pool of more than 400, according to the nonprofit.
