DICT continues boost in e-governance and e-services to improve PH s ease of doing business

MANILA, Apr. 18 The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) is committed to strengthen its e-governance and e-services initiatives that cater to the local business sector to further improve ease of doing business in the Philippines as the conduct of the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Survey for 2021 by the World Bank draws near. “Your DICT, in partnership with other key agencies, continues to do its best to develop and implement programs and initiatives towards achieving true ease of doing business in the country and to provide better e-services to the Filipino people,” DICT Secretary Gregorio B. Honasan II said.

Mactan Economic Zone to adopt e-payment, collection systems

March 04, 2021 AUTOMATED systems and processes including an online payment method accessible to applicant investors or current locators in economic zones will soon be adopted in the Mactan Economic Zone, the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (Peza) said. Peza Director General Charito Plaza said this is part of the agency’s initiatives in line with Republic Act 11032, also known as the “Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Services Delivery Act of 2019” that aims to improve transaction systems and procedures. “Economic zones in Mactan and Baguio City will begin using the system in the next few weeks with the scanners recently deployed,” Plaza said.

Director General Charito Ching Plaza and I-PAY MYEG PH (IPMPI) Chief Executive Officer Ann Margaret Saldana together with MYEG Business Development Head Clemente Antonio Sarte signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the EPCS and related services, on February 18, 2 PASAY CITY, Mar. 3 The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Director General Charito “Ching” Plaza announced on her State of PEZA Address (SOPA) last Wednesday, February 24, 2021, that the agency will begin to use and implement automated systems and processes including an online payment method accessible to applicant investors or current locators in ecozones.  “Now in its 26th year, it is high time that PEZA’s governance adapt technology and innovations and explore digital platforms to improve good governance, transparency, ease of doing business, and accountability,” said Plaza.

The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) today announced that it has signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with online payment gateway provider I-PAY MYEG PH (IPMPI) as the agency automates its systems and processes for easier locator transactions at its various economic zones in the country. PEZA Director General Charito “Ching” Plaza and I-PAY MYEG PH (IPMPI) Chief Executive Officer Ann Margaret Saldana signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on February 18, 2021. IPMPI is an online payment gateway provider that operates and maintains an Electronic Payment Collection System (EPCS) and has the capability to integrate with PEZA’s online portal.   Director General Charito “Ching” Plaza and I-PAY MYEG PH (IPMPI) Chief Executive Officer Ann Margaret Saldana together with MYEG Business Development Head Clemente Antonio Sarte signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the EPCS and related services, on February 18, 2021.
