Everyones information there will not be endorsements from the panelists today one important thing i want to clear up because i think it is important for context of this discussion is that the impression you have in organizations in working on this because in washington d. C. People say on the 6 00 news on the sunday talk shows where is the compromise . Where are the people in the middle that can split the baby and come up with legislation . I think that youre going to hear loud and clear from us but is this about compromise or is this about working towards shared values of principled people on both the left and the rig right . All the reasonable people thought this was the way to respond to everything. Left right coalitions and criminal Justice Reform have been successful. Work because curved led so if they led the same fight it wouldnt work. Im not sure i trust everybody but on a right Left Coalition there is no compromise on principles. We are working to do the same thing perhaps for
Driverless cars. Welcome to your world, im stephanie sy im del walters. Calm on the streets of baltimore. Small groups demanded justice after a judge declared a mistrial in the case against a Police Officer. William porter was the first of six officers to go on trial. Jurors were deadlocked and could not reach a verdict. John terrett is live in baltimore, it appeared protesters heeded the calls for calm, didnt they . Seemed to have done. Thats the difference, the Police Service got a jump on this, rather than being caught on the hop which happened since last april. They w
Of living. The research on standard of living shows unambiguously that trade is great for these reasons. I just make two observations. Trade is great when say, japan is in recession. Japan is a huge economy. If japan werent in recession, it would be a huge economy plus 3 . So the returns arent that different no matter whats going on with japans Business Cycle or any of our trading partners. The second is i think to the extent the world is becoming more chaotic, what does this mean about the returns to trade . I think arg automobilely that raises the returns to trade. We are a world with greater shared interest and this is where formal trade becomes a policy as well. There is greater trade with our neighbors when we have deeper linkages with them, and putting it more bluntly in terms of Foreign Policy, we had a huge effect in russia because we used to trade in russia and sanctions have been quite effective. I think there have been Foreign Policy issues on the table as well. Those are re
