At its Sept. 25 meeting, the Grand Island Board of Education honored Grayson Shelp, 13, for his dedication to selling popcorn for Boy Scout Troop 510. During this past summer, Grayson sold $15,000 worth of popcorn, breaking his own record that he set two years ago.
A 5-year-old boy sat on rocks and poured fish food into a small koi pond on East River Road during the Grand Island Garden Walk on Sunday. As soon as the food hit the water, the fish swam excitedly to the surface.
