Participate in an observing session with Rainwater s powerful telescope Share Updated: 6:19 AM CST Feb 27, 2021 The Rainwater Observatory at French Camp has introduced a new program series that is free to the public.The new program is entitled Exploring the Heavens . Visitors are welcome to visit Friday and Saturday nights for the entire month of March.The program will kick off March 5 and 6 with an event titled Reflections of The Universe at 7:00 p.m. by Director Edwin Faughn. Rainwater Observatory and Planetarium is located one mile east of the Natchez Parkway off MS Highway 413 near the village of French Camp.Seating is limited due to COVID-19 restrictions. Reservations are suggested and can be made by calling 662-547-9464.
