A Friday morning barn fire at 9449 Elm St. in the town of New Hartford is under investigation, according to fire officials.
Willowvale firefighters were sent shortly after 6 a.m. to the structure, which reportedly was a storage site for equipment, officials said.
The Clayville Fire Department responded with their aerial truck and rescue, and the New Hartford Fire Department responded with an engine.
Firefighters conducted an exterior attack of the blaze, while Clayville’s aerial unit began applying water through the exposed roof.
Due to the combination of heavy fire conditions and a number of various pressurized tanks inside the structure, firefighters were unable to make an interior attack, officials said.
