Menu OHIO Division of Diversity and Inclusion mourns killing of Daunte Wright and invites University community to open forum Published: April 15, 2021 Author: Staff reports The OHIO Division of Diversity and Inclusion joins our community in profound sorrow at the killing of 20-year-old Black man Daunte Wright on Sunday in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. Mr. Wright was shot dead during a traffic stop while the officer attempted to arrest him. The local police chief later released a statement saying the officer had attempted to deploy a Taser to subdue Mr. Wright and drew her gun by mistake. The police chief and officer have since both resigned.

Duane Nellis said. “I am looking forward to participating in the 2021 Diversity Leadership Institute, which I believe will add to our University’s collective commitment to anti-racism. I commend the Division of Diversity and Inclusion for all they do to support our campus community.”

Rural Zumbro Falls Man Murdered - Victim s Son Arrested

Get our free mobile app Zumbro Falls, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Zumbro Falls area man has been arrested for the murder of his father. The Wabasha County Sheriff s Office says deputies responded Friday evening to a 911 call from a residence located in a rural area southeast of Zumbro Falls. When they arrived at the property just before 6:30 PM, they found the body of 73-year-old Edward William Riley. A news release says the victim s son, 44-year-old James Edward Riley, was taken into custody a short time later. He is currently being held at the Wabasha County Jail on suspicion of murder.
