Lower Merion police investigating theft of $65,000 wheel loader

LOWER MERION â Lower Merion police are investigating the theft of a Hitachi ZW805B wheel loader from a parking lot in Bala Cynwyd. Now police are asking for help from the public regarding the theft and the truck that took it away. Lower Merion police were contacted about the theft on Dec. 19 when they were told the vehicle was stolen from a parking lot at 50 Monument Road in Bala Cynwyd. A review of the security video showed a tractor-trailer entering the lot at 9 p.m. and then crossing the street to 401 City Avenue. - Advertisement - The wheel loader was then driven across Monument Road and loaded into the truck. The truck then exited the lot and was last seen at 9:52 p.m. going north on City Avenue toward I-76.
