(AP) Prosecutors say a suspect will face another homicide charge following the death of a second person following a shooting in the parking lot of a Walmart store in eastern Pennsylvania last month that killed a woman. Jonathan Martinez, 22, of Allentown died at 1:30 a.m. Sunday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, the Lehigh County coroner’s office reported Sunday. An autopsy is planned to determine the cause of death, but the coroner’s office ruled the manner of death homicide. District Attorney Jim Martin said Monday his office will upgrade an attempted homicide charge to homicide when 23-year-old defendant Edward Rosario-Jimenez appears for his preliminary hearing, which is currently scheduled April 23.

Mar 1, 2021 Officials have identified the woman who was shot to death Friday night outside a Lehigh County Walmart. Police say they were called to the Walmart on MacArthur Road in Whitehall Township around 7 o clock Friday night. When they arrived, they found 20-year-old Nicolette Law and another person inside a parked car suffering from gunshot wounds. Law later died. The other victim s condition has not been released. Police have now arrested 23-year-old Edward Rosario-Jimenez, of Whitehall Township, for the killing. Investigators have not yet given a motive for the killing. Lehigh University is planning to hold in-person graduation ceremonies for both the Class of 2020, who didn t get one due to the pandemic, and the Class of 2021.
