Author: Pixabay A rollover crash involving an ATV in northwest Minnesota wound up killing the driver and seriously injuring a passenger.  According to the Polk County Sheriff s Office, 75-year-old Edward Halvorson and 71-year-old Judith Halvorson were on an ATV together when they entered a ditch near Fosston and rolled the vehicle.  The crash happened just after 7 a.m. Monday along 345th Avenue Southeast, south of 310th Street Southeast, near Fosston. The driver entered the ditch on the 2004 Arctic Cat 500 and the ATV overturned, the release said.

KVRR Local News June 1, 2021 FOSSTON, Minn. – Sheriff’s officials say the operator of an all-terrain vehicle was killed and his wife, a passenger, was seriously injured in a crash in Polk County. The ATV entered a ditch near Fosston Monday and rolled over. Seventy-five-year-old Edward Halvorson was pronounced dead at the scene. Seventy-one-year-old Judith Halvorson was taken to a hospital in Fosston and later was airlifted to a hospital in Fargo.  There’s no word on her condition. Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the crash.

Rural Fosston man killed in ATV rollover, wife airlifted to Fargo Times Report A rural Fosston man was killed on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31 in an ATV crash north of Fosston, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office reports.     The PCSO says the ATV operator, Edward Halvorson, 75, was pronounced dead at the scene, and his wife and passenger, Judith Halvorson, 71, was transported to Essentia Hospital in Fosston and was later airlifted to a hospital in Fargo.     The PCSO says the call came in minutes after 7 a.m. Monday along 345th Avenue SE south of 310th Street SE. The PCSO says the ATV, a 2004 Arctic Cat 500 four-wheeler, was traveling north when it entered the ditch on the west side of 345th Avenue and overturned.
