Possibly saved several lives. White smoke is a good sign. It fills the air over pennsylvania avenue in west baltimore. But it tells firefighters the flames were put out inside the building. Minutes before this video was captured by ron peoples, flames shot through the building at penn lumber. When we heard the poof and the front of the building just blew out onto the firefighters. Reporter reports came in just before 6 00 monday evening, about three hours after employees left for the day. It seems the firefighter in charge spotted danger and called to evacuate crews, which was life saving. The building, three stories, literally collapsed and the firefighters were in the vicinity where they certainly could have lost their lives. Reporter five firefighters had minor injuries.
