The latest on this breaking news on the House Committee contempt vote that is scheduled for tomorrow morning, at least for now. Thats right, just within the past half hour for Department Justice sent a letter to jerry nadler of the House Judiciary Committee where it threatens executive privilege. Quoting from the letter, in the face of the committees threatens contempt vote, the attorney general will be compelled to request that the president invoke executive privilege with their respect to the material subject with the subpoena. The letter goes on to say this request is not itself an assertion of executive privilege. If the committee decides to proceed in spite of this request however the attorney general will advise the president to make protective assertion of executive privilege. It stems
