School of Education & Human Sciences to host 3rd session of virtual series for 2020-21

Wed, 04/07/2021 LAWRENCE The School of Education & Human Sciences at the University of Kansas will host the third and final virtual session of the 2020-21 Strategies Event Series on April 17 via Zoom. The third session, “Understanding Educational Neuroscience Research,” will feature Michael Orosco, associate professor in the Department of Educational Psychology. The session will address advances in educational neuroscience research that has given educators insight into the workings of the mind and brain. Fri, 02/05/2021 LAWRENCE The School of Education & Human Sciences at the University of Kansas will host the second virtual session of the Strategies Event Series at 9 a.m. Feb. 13 via Zoom. The second session, “Being Lazy & Slowing Down in PK-12 Classrooms: A Deeper Look,” will feature M’Balia Thomas, assistant professor in the Department of Curriculum & Teaching. The session is designed as a continuation of last year’s session, but prior participation is not required. The session is free and open to the public, though individuals must RSVP online to participate.
