Markets wear a deserted look in the city on Tuesday as traders closed shops on a call given by lawyers of the Allahabad High court
Prayagraj: The Prayagraj bandh (closure) call given by the Allahabad High Court Bar Association (HCBA) in protest against the Education Service Tribunal Bill received an overwhelming response as majority of markets of the city remained closed on Tuesday.
The bandh call was supported by various traders, students, teachers, employees’ organizations of the city.
The call for the closure was given by the lawyers to mark their protest against the Education Service Tribunal Bill, which proposes to set up the principal seat of this tribunal at Lucknow instead of the Sangam city.

Prayagraj: The ongoing agitation of lawyers of Allahabad High Court took a new turn on Thursday when the lawyers along with several other organizations resolved to observe Prayagraj ‘bandh’ (closure) on March 9 in protest against the Education Service Tribunal Bill.
Meanwhile, working in the Allahabad high court remained disrupted as the boycott of work initiated by the lawyers in protest against the Education Service Tribunal Bill continued for the 10th consecutive day on Thursday.
The Allahabad High Court Bar Association (HCBA) had been protesting against the Bill, which provides for setting up of the principal bench of the Education Service Tribunal at Lucknow, instead at Prayagraj.

In a resolution passed on Wednesday, HCBA again resolved to continue boycott of judicial work on Thursday on the same issue.
