Alberta’s K-12 education funding will remain relatively consistent next school year, but nearly 2,000 education jobs lost during the COVID-19 pandemic are likely not coming back.
Operating expenses are forecast to be around $8.2 billion for those grades in the 2021-22 budget, slightly down from last year’s $8.3-million budget, although just under $8.2 billion was used.
