An alleged drunk driver hit another vehicle at the intersection of 1st Street South and 28th Avenue in Willmar on Friday. The alleged drunk driver then fled the scene, while the other driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Eduardo Amaya, 23, of Willmar, pleaded guilty to driving while impaired refusing a chemical test, a gross misdemeanor, and also to felony threats of violence for his role in an alleged domestic incident this May in Willmar.

Eduardo Amaya, 23, of Willmar, is facing multiple charges related to the incident, including felony second-degree-assault fear and felony threats of violence. Amaya was arrested early Sunday night for the incident and has been held in the Kandiyohi County Jail. WILLMAR A Willmar man had a first appearance before Kandiyohi County District Judge Jennifer Fischer related to allegedly hitting his girlfriend with a table leg and injuring their nine-month-old child early Sunday morning, according to court records.
