Fire rips through house in Cathedral City Dream Homes neighborhood, smoke seen throughout valley A fire ripped through a house in the Dream Homes neighborhood of Cathedral City Friday afternoon. Smoke could be seen from across the west valley, and crews were up against not just the flames, but soaring temperatures as well. As flames erupted at the home, live ammunition could be heard exploding from inside. No injuries were reported.
