Madam Stella Omoigui, the mother of an 11-year-old schoolboy, Master Osasu Omoigui who was hit by police stray bullet in his genitals during the last October #EndSARS protest has demanded for N50 million compensation from the Edo State Judicial Panel of Inquiry for victims of SARS and related abuses.
Mrs. Omoigui, 61, a petty trader who appeared at the panel on Monday in Benin explained that the incident happened along Sapele road, Benin City, when he sent Osasu, a primary three pupil of Maria Christian Academy on an errand to deliver a ripe plantain to his father across the road.

A 61-year-old woman Mrs. Stella Omoigui, has demanded N50million compensation for her 11year- old-son, Master Osasu Omoigui who was allegedly hit by a stray bullet on his genital during #EndSARS protest.
Mrs. Omoigui, a petty trader yesterday in Benin, told the Edo State Judicial Panel of Inquiry for victims of SARS and related abuses that her 11year son was hit by stray bullets from the police officers who were dispersing the #EndSARS protesters when running an errand for her.
She added that the incident happened along Old road, Sapele Road, Benin City, when he asked the said Osasu, a primary three pupil of Maria Christian Academy to go and give his father ripe plantain.
He said he can’t go to school because of the problem.
Speaking before the panel, Stella Omoigui, said she sent her son on an errand when he was hit by a stray bullet on his genital.
Mrs. Omoigui, said Osasu was asked to take ripe plantain to his father along Old road, Sapele road, Benin, when he was hit by bullets from police officers dispersing the #EndSARS protesters.
“My son was later treated and discharged from the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, UBTH. Since the incident, I have been spending the little resources I have on him.”
