Enrolment growth and a focus on student needs and skill development are factors in a draft budget presented at the Bluewater District School Board s business committee meeting Tuesday night that includes a nearly $11 million operating revenue increase. Rob Cummings, BWDSB superintendent of business services and treasurer, presented the 2023-24 budget report featuring an overall operating allocation of $258,150,330, a $10.7 million increase from the budget for the 2022-23 school year. "We re probably at the highest growth rate that we ve ever been at," said Cummings.
