A second-half goal rush saw Bengaluru FC mark the start of new coach Marco Pezzaiuoli’s reign at the club with a convincing 5-0 win over Nepalese side Tribhuvan Army FC in their 2021 AFC Cup Preliminary stage two clash in Bambolim on Wednesday.
Goals from Rahul Bheke (2), Cleiton Silva (2) and Sunil Chhetri put a seal on the tie and handed the Blues passage into the playoff stages of the continental competition.

How did the youngsters fare?
Pezzaiuoli was particularly impressed with the performance of the second half substitutes and felt that the team played at a high level against the Nepalese side. I saw (Namgyal) Bhutia play well on the right side, observed Pezzaiuoli. Roshan (Singh) playing at right-back was a new position for him - he played as a winger before. He closed his side well and he was using both feet. Dama (Damaitphang Lyngdoh) is a midfield player - for me, he s a small (Andres) Iniesta.

Goa, Feb 15 : Mumbai City FC took 23 shots at the Bengaluru FC goal, the most they have had in the entire season but they just couldn’t get the result they were looking for on Monday. Instead, it was a rejuvenated Bengaluru that walked away with three points after an impressive 4-2 win in the Indian Super League at the GMC Stadium, Bambolim.
The night saw the best of BFC skipper Sunil Chhetri, who scored a brace (57th minute, 90th minute) in his 200th game for the club. Cleiton Silva also bagged his double (1st minute, 22nd minute) while Adam Le Fondre (50th minute, 72th minute) scored for Mumbai.
