Update on roads in aftermath of winter storm

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – This is a timestamped blog of events impacting roads and travel during the December 29 winter storm.
12:00 pm – The City of Lincoln says the plowing of main arteries is complete and residential streets are 90% complete. City inspectors are looking at the progress and if there are problem areas they are being addressed.
7:00 am – This is a good reminder to keep a winter weather survival kit in your car. Nebraska State Patrol says that should include a First Aid Kit, phone charger, ice scraper, shovel, a small bag of sand, flashlight with extra batteries, blankets or sleeping bags, extra clothing and winter accessories, jumper cables, towrope, tool kit, matches, candles, red flag or bandana, high energy or dehydrated foods, and bottled
