When one goes into space, as many spacefarers have testified, boundaries tend to blur and you see the Earth for what it is - a pale blue dot floating in an endless universe, which is also the only place that humans can call home.
Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma, the only Indian to have gone into the space, is excited to welcome more Indian astronauts to the elite space club as the country prepares for the Gaganyaan mission.
Bharat is still "saare jahan se accha (best in the world)", said the country's very first cosmonaut Rakesh Sharma, who is celebrating the 40th anniversary of that historic flight.
Besides being the only person from India to have spent time in space, Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma also has the distinction of being the first person to practise the ancient Indian discipline in space, making him the first 'Antariksh Yogi'.
India already has a highly advanced atomic energy programme and in an effort to control carbon emissions the plan is to triple generation of carbon free nuclear energy to 22,000 megawatts by 2032.
