Mile Square Regional Park in Fountain Valley will soon lose one of its three golf courses, but is set to gain 93 acres of recreation space.
The Orange County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday voted unanimously to certify the final environmental impact report for the project, which would repurpose land in the middle of the 640-acre park.

SANTA ANA (CNS) - A convicted flasher pleaded guilty today and was immediately sentenced to 16 months in prison for exposing himself to a girl at Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley.
Elihu Jonathan Rodriguez, 32, of Santa Ana, pleaded guilty to a felony count of indecent exposure with a prior conviction. A misdemeanor count of child annoyance was dismissed, according to court records.
Rodriguez, who has been in custody since Aug. 13, exposed himself to the victim, whose name and age were not released, about 5:25 p.m. that day on the southwest corner of the park at Euclid Street and Edinger Avenue, said Fountain Valley Police Department Sgt. Donald Farmer.
