KABC-TV(LOS ANGELES) Arrests have been made after six people were found shot to death last week in a desert community in San Bernardino County, California, according to authorities.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff s Department said it would announce more information at a press conference Monday evening. It was unclear how many people were arrested or any information on the charges.
"No information will be released prior to the press conference," law enforcement said.
Shortly after 8 p.m. local time Tuesday evening, authorities responded to a wellness check in a remote area off of Highway 395 and found "multiple deceased people," San Bernardino County Sheriff s Department said.
Initially, five people were found dead Tuesday but a sixth body was located Wednesday morning during the ongoing investigation, San Bernardino County sheriff s spokesperson Mara Rodriguez said at a news conference.

An employee at a ShopRite, located in the northeast part of the city, was confirmed to have "acute hepatitis A" and was working behind the meat counter between Jan. 4 and Jan. 21 while possibly contagious, said officials.
"The store is aware of the situation and is working collaboratively with the Health Department," the agency wrote in a statement.
While calling the risk of infection "very low," the health department says beef or pork purchased from the store during this period and since frozen "should be discarded as a precaution." Nicholas Overfield, 39, was arrested in February 2022 and died several months later at a hospital in June after his family claimed he wasn t given access to his prescribed antiretroviral medication to treat HIV during the two months he was detained at El Dorado County Jail, according to the complaint filed last week.
