Nirav Karkera says: “If you want to play on stocks which reflect on factors the government policies are focusing on and macros are in favour of, very good opportunities are available in the mid- and smallcap space and for most of these segments are almost absent in the large-cap space.”
“Looking at the current market valuation, obviously it makes a lot of sense and there is a big case for exposure to be a little heavier on the largecap side. But having said that, I would refrain from saying everybody should do investment in largecaps and sell off their mid-cap exposure.”
As many as 17 domestic mutual fund houses picked up shares worth Rs 355 crore in the anchor book of Tata Technologies’ IPO through a total of 39 schemes.
India’s two biggest asset management companies, SBI Mutual Fund and ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, invested the highest sum in the anchor round at Rs 42 crore each.
