Charlotte Flair has been added to the Raw Women s Championship match at WrestleMania Backlash.
On Monday s episode of Raw, it was announced that Rhea Ripley will defend her Raw Women s Championship against Asuka and Charlotte in a triple threat match at WrestleMania Backlash. It had originally been announced as a singles match between Ripley and Asuka before Charlotte was added.
In storyline, Charlotte being added to the title match was a decision made by WWE authority figure Sonya Deville. Deville also reinstated Charlotte from her indefinite suspension on Raw last week. Fellow authority figure Adam Pearce wasn t happy with Deville and confronted her after both of those decisions.

This week on WWE’s
The Bump, Charlotte spoke to the panel about the last two weeks and what a rollercoaster they have been. In order to clear her head following the vicious beatdown she laid on WWE official Eddie Orengo, which caused her to receive a one-week suspension and fine, “The Queen” mentioned how she took a much-needed vacation to help her concentrate on what she came back for in the first place: The Raw Women’s Championship.
After tonight’s RAW went off the air, Sonya Deville appeared on RAW Talk to defend her decision to lift the suspension handed to Charlotte Flair by Adam Pearce. Charlotte was suspended indefinitely last week for attacking WWE referee Eddie Orengo.
“I was just trying to do my job,” said Deville. “I honestly thought Adam’s decision [from last week] was a little rushed. He didn’t hear Charlotte out, and made a dramatic decision by suspending one of the biggest stars on RAW. We need to understand that Charlotte is just human and she made a mistake. She has apologized now, and it’s time we all move forward.”
Just one week after being suspended in storyline, Charlotte Flair was back on tonight s episode of Raw.
Charlotte was reinstated by WWE authority figure Sonya Deville on Raw tonight. Adam Pearce had given Charlotte an indefinite suspension and fined her $100,000 in storyline last Monday after she snapped and attacked referee Eddie Orengo.
On last week s Raw, Charlotte lost to Asuka after Raw Women s Champion Rhea Ripley interfered in the match. As Charlotte had Asuka in the Figure Eight, Ripley broke up the move by pulling on Charlotte s arms. Charlotte being distracted by Ripley led to her losing to Asuka. Charlotte snapped on Orengo after the match and beat him down.
