The Steelers have a chance to hit the jackpot on an OL coach hire By steelerfan11 on Jan 14, 2021, 3:41pm EST +
First of all, let s be happy that Fichtner and Sarrett are finally gone. However, we have to find the right replacements or else the whole thing was worthless. Finding a new OC replacement may be a little bit more difficult until we see who gets hired as head coaches. The Steelers can find a replacement for Shaun Sarrett quite easily though. No, unfortunately it is not Mike Munchak. Fortunately, this guy has had success just about everywhere he has been. His name is Ed Warriner, the current offensive line coach for Michigan.

This holiday season was a special one for Connor Jones and his family.
The three-star offensive tackle from Monument (Col.) Palmer Ridge High verbally committed to Michigan, his dream school, on Christmas Eve, just days after visiting campus for the first time.
“When I was growing up, me and my dad would watch Michigan on Saturdays, and he’s been a lifelong fan,” Jones told MLive in a phone interview. “You could say I’ve been a lifelong fan too. I mean, just the schooling and education that Michigan has, it definitely has all the criteria to be a dream school.”

As mentioned the other day, staff feels like they may be on the wrong end of the
Donovan Edwards recruitment. However, after listening to this interview with coach Ron Bellamy and Sam Webb it sounds like we are not out of it yet. Also you can feel how much RB still loves his alma mater in this clip, which got me thinking would he or Thomas Wilcher consider coming home to pull the boys out the mud? IMO, it would shore up one of our biggest issues, (state of Michigan recruiting) that has been plaguing us since Tyrone Wheatley departed. Not to beat a dead horse, but one of these guys and Albert Karchnia I think would make a huge difference, and most importantly immediately!
