According to The County Press, a custom granite bench in the park was split in half. Please note it was a granite bench. You know how hard it is to split granite? This had to be more than a two person job, or someone used some heavy equipment to split it.
There are no surveillance cameras in park area, but it appears the Lapeer DDA and Lapeer Police Department are looking into the possibility of camera installations. I am guessing that is not cheap, but I think it needs to be done. I don t know of another option, do you?
