Whitmer announces updates on return-to-work and expanding capacity limits

LANSING – Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced updates for employees to return to work and eliminate outdoor capacity limits.
She cited the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (MIOSHA) COVID-19 emergency rules allowing employees to return to in-person work. The governor also announced an updated Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) COVID-19 Gatherings and Face Masks epidemic order, eliminating outdoor capacity limits and increasing indoor social gatherings to 50% capacity, which is set to take effect on June 1.

LANSING, Mich Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced Monday changes to return-to-work guidelines and capacity limits.
The state announced May 10 that 55% of Michiganders had been vaccinated against COVID-19. Monday, two weeks since that announcement, Michiganders can begin returning to in-person work as outlined in the MI Vacc to Normal plan.
