Working people and Small Businesses are facing extraordinary challenges today with over 26 million recently applied for Unemployment Benefits and millions of Small Businesses at risk of closing for good. At the Economic Program we recognize for too long, race, ethnicity, gender and race have played out side role in who has access to opportunity and to a shutout. We see today black and latino workers being most affected by unemployment, and by the health risks that come with being classified as an essential worker.
