Parliament is expected to hold confidence votes in the government as well as Finns Party MPs Riikka Purra and Wille Rydman when lawmakers return to the chamber in September.
Prime Minister Petteri Orpo (NCP) on Thursday assured that the government has funding for the measures against racism and discrimination it is expected to unveil in early September.
The task force intends to lend an ear to more than 100 stakeholders as it drafts a government statement on promoting equality and non-discrimination for the perusal of parliament.
“Even one experience of racism is too much, and here we are at the same time talking about ice cream bars,” Sofia Virta, the chairperson of the Green League, stated on YLE A-studio on Monday, articulating her frustration with how the discussion has been steered by the Finns Party.
