File photo THE Davao City government is planning to create more bicycle lanes in six areas in the city.
This is in addition to the 27 new and upgraded bicycle lanes, in partnership with the Department of Public works and Highways-Davao Region (DPWH-Davao).
According to the plan, the Davao City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO) and DPWH-Davao will create bicycle lanes along the Carlos P. Garcia Highway (Diversion Road), Davao-Bukidnon Highway, Matina Aplaya to Ecoland Drive, C. Bangoy St., Ecowest Drive, and Tulip Drive.
CTTMO chief Dionisio Abude said 27 roads in the city have new and upgraded bike lanes with the broken green markings, solid green markings, solid white lines and broken white lines.

During her live interview over Davao City Disaster Radio (DCDR 87.5), Mayor Sara Duterte said that the e-buses have started servicing local passengers since last Monday after she and Davao Light and Power Company (DLPC) president and chief operating officer Rodger S. Velasco signed a memorandum of agreement for the BEST Bus Project.

The Davao City Government, in partnership with the Davao Light and Power Company (DLPC), GET Philippines, and QEV Technologies in Spain recently launched the Business for Environmentally Sustainable Transformation (Best) Bus project.
Best Bus is environmentally sustainable as it is 100-percent electric and fully airconditioned.
DLPC said the project aims to leave a lasting impact on the environmental sustainability of the city and the country by significantly reducing harmful emissions, maximizing available new technologies and encouraging inclusive benefits for all.
