The University of Texas at San Antonio is collaborating with Harvard University and building devices for the blind and low vision community to experience the solar eclipse with sound.
NASA says the "ring of fire" solar eclipse happens because the moon is too far away from Earth and cannot completely block out the sun’s view, leaving what appears to be a fiery ring around the moon.
A partial eclipse is set to be seen in the skies in areas of Europe, Asia, and North America this week, with the mooning passing between the sun and Earth.
