A fire that broke out at the Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs burned for about half an hour, according to a witness, and was extinguished by firefighters. The general manager said no one was hurt.
After a three-year process, the former Takhini Hot Springs will finally reopen as the Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs after going through a massive facelift.
The over $7 million complex north of Whitehorse replaces the old Takhini Hot Springs, which closed for good last year after operating for 49 years. The new facility features four hot pools, steam rooms, saunas and heated ceramic lounge chairs.
