The florida keys and once again intensify to a Tropical Storm as it approaches florida and moves inland. We could again see that. Now, the cone itself has really shifted a little farther to the west. Now you see monday, 2 00 p. M. , that cone is now including a little more of the gulf of mexico and much less of the atlantic. So we have seen quite a big shift to the west. Computer models are finally picking up on more westward movement here. Of course, as it moves over land, if this were to be the case, since that cone does get wider out in time, it does have the potential to stay in the gulf of mexico but if it were to move over florida, it would weaken back down to a depression. So these storms need warm water to fuel them and keep them alive, to intensify. But any land interaction will be weakening this storm. So this is the latest track on erika. This is video from just a few hours ago as crews work to get the blaze under control along haldeman avenue. one person is recovering from smoke inhalation at the hospital. Our video also shows a firefighter receiving oxygen at the scene. He was not taken to the hospital and is said to be doing okay. The washington way apartment complex is vast and full of families, and right now those families are on the lookout for the man depicted here, a man who allegedly acted out a parents nightmare earlier this week. It could happen anytime to anyone unexpectedly. Reporter for her family, it happened Late Wednesday in the safety of their own home. The man made noises outside the window to get her attention. Police believe he may have used his cell phone to snap a photograph of the girl through the window. He introduce ed himself as joe d told her he was a friend of her father and a doctor. We actually captured that of one fire fighter receiving oxygen at the scene but he was not taken out of circulation. That firefighter is still here. The fire marshall has also arrived here. They tell us the fire alarms went off. Two tenants called them after they were evacuated. Well, we had one before a couple of years ago down to the left in one of them buildings down there caught on fire. Reporter weve been told by the fire chief here on the scene that ten units have been damaged by smoke. The fire was contained to a storage area in the basement. Now the units that were damaged, no one will be able to live in them for at least one week. Pico has also arrived on the scene. You see their trucks. They have turned off power to one of the buildings. Residents have been allowed to go back inside to retrieve those essential belongings. They ran after Terrence Fletcher and an officer fired several shots and hit him. Fletcher is in the hospital with a bullet wound to his leg.
