Here is the Carson City area road report for the last week of 2017, Dec. 25-31. Lane closures or restrictions are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:
Due to a project to complete a new north-south water transmission line on the east side of Carson City, there will be shoulder work on Fairview Drive between E. Fifth Street and Butti Way. Minimal delays are expected. There will be work at the following locations as a result of the Freeway Landscaping Project.
A 26-year-old Dayton man was arrested and faces felony charges of battery on a police officer and probation violation after he allegedly punched a Carson City deputy twice in the face with a closed fist. Christopher Scholl was arrested at 2 a.m., Thursday in the 1700 block of Fair Way after a foot chase with officers.
The Carson City Sheriff s Office is investigating a break-in overnight at the animal services facility at 3770 Butti Way. The shelter is closed today. All animals were accounted for and safe. More information will be released once available.
