TWO flood warnings requiring immediate action have been issued this evening for Stroud following heavy rain. The Environment Agency has issued warnings for the River Frome which flows through the town after water gauges reached alert levels. Areas affected are:
River Frome at Brimscombe and Thrupp The first warning was issued at 8.30pm for
Stroud and Ryeford as follows: Flooding expected - immediate action required. River levels have risen at the Ebley Mill river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Flooding of property and farmland is expected tonight, Wednesday. Flooding is expected to affect properties and roads in the Ryeford and Dudbridge area.
