Farmers-Herders Crisis: Ogun govt inaugurates conflict resolution committee
The committee is expected to unravel activities that often lead to the farmers/herders crisis in the state.
Dapo Abiodunhas inaugurated a 20-man Peace Keeping Committee on Farmers-Herders Conflict.
The committee, inaugurated on Saturday, is expected to look into the remote and immediate causes of their clashes, which in recent times have led to killings.
According to Mr Abiodun, the committee would also find a lasting solution to the crisis.
Before now, PREMIUM TIMES has reported clashes between farmers and herdsmen, particularly at Yewa axis of the state.

The Ogun State government has commenced the process of finding a lasting solution to the alleged incessant killings and maiming of residents of some villages by suspected herdsmen.
To this end, a government delegation comprising top government officials and representatives of security agencies visited the affected areas on Sunday on a “confidence-building mission.”
The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Afolabi Afuape, speaking at the palace of Olu Ilaro pointed out that clashes between the farmers and herders are a national problem.
