Another wet and windy day, drier heading into the weekend

An area of low pressure moving over the northern Gulf of Mexico is the culprit for the scattered rainfall that will last through Thursday. Minor coastal flooding is possible. We’ll see more widespread showers as the day goes on, with pockets of heavier rainfall, too! Cloud cover, rainfall and northeasterly winds pumping cooler air down south will all limit temperatures from climbing much today.

Cloudy, cool, wet and windy weather through mid-week

Get ready for a cool, cloudy, windy and wet Tuesday! We're starting the day with scattered, light rain across the Panhandle. We'll see more widespread showers as the day goes on, with pockets of heavier rainfall, too! Cloud cover, rainfall and northeasterly winds pumping cooler air down south will all limit temperatures from climbing much today. Highs will likely only reach the low 60s. Pack the rain gear and an extra layer to keep warm!

Teasing rain chances this weekend, better potential next week

More dense fog this morning has resulted in visibility of a mile or less in much of our central and eastern counties of the Panhandle. Sunshine will evaporate the fog through the mid-morning hours, though it'll leave us with more clouds than sun for the day. Moisture hitting a boundary may result in a few isolated showers today. Rain chances this weekend are a tease compared to next week.

Warm and humid conditions continue, cooler days ahead

By the end of the work week and into the weekend, a frontal system will approach the southeast. In doing so, it may try to squeeze some moisture from the air, giving way to a few isolated pop-up showers Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Rain chances, though, remain on the lesser side, so significant rainfall is still unlikely over the next several days.

Increasing moisture results in foggy mornings

A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for all of the Florida Panhandle until 8 a.m. CST. Fog is reducing visibility to a mile or less in some areas this morning. Please drive cautiously using your low-beam headlights (double check they're on), leave extra space between vehicles and drop your speed. Sunshine will evaporate the fog through the mid-morning hours. Then, we'll see a mostly clear sky through the afternoon.
