Environment Canada issued a special statement Thursday warning smoke is expected to cause poor air quality and reduced visibility in and around Calgary.
‘We’re able to confirm multiple tornadoes did occur yesterday between 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.’ said Alberta meteorologist Sara Hoffman. ‘The exact number is still in flux right now.’
Environment Canada has issued special weather statements for the South Coast and much of the South and Central Interior, with a cold front set to sweep the province Tuesday.
Wildfire smoke continued to hover over Kingston, Ont. Wednesday. An air quality statement remained, and public health advised people limit their time outdoors due to health risks.
