SUNDAY (Family) Make a winner, marinated flank steak, for the family: Mix ¼ cup of your favorite marinade with 1 teaspoon minced garlic and ¼ teaspoon coarse ground black pepper in a resealable plastic bag; add 1½ pounds flank steak and turn to coat. Close bag securely and marinate in refrigerator 6 hours or as long as overnight, turning occasionally. When ready to grill, remove steak from marinade; discard marinade. Place steak on grill over medium, ash-covered coals. Grill, covered, 11-16 minutes (or 16-21 minutes over medium heat on preheated gas grill) for medium-rare to medium doneness, turning occasionally. Carve steak across the grain into slices.
