The 2021 Grammy Awards paid tribute to music stars who died this past year with an in memoriam segment, but left out notable performers like Benny Mardones.
The Grammys honored late music legends like Little Richard and Kenny Rogers with performances by Bruno Mars, Lionel Richie, Brandi Carlile, Chris Martin and Brittany Howard. Names that flashed across the screen included Bill Withers, Eddie Van Halen, Charlie Daniels, Joe Diffie, Frederick “Toots” Hibbert, rapper MF Doom, Adam Schlesinger, Betty Wright, Charley Pride, Johnny Nash, and composer Ennio Morricone.
