ROSEVILLE The Recreation Authority of Roseville and Eastpointe and the Eastpointe-Roseville Chamber of Commerce are presenting the Summer Stroll, an outdoor public event featuring music, entertainers, local businesses and more.
The event will be managed through Jenesis Entertainment. Its owner, Heather Eckstein, said the idea for the event came out of trying to find ways to engage the public while still being responsible in the time of COVID-19.

ROSEVILLE A new nonprofit recently opened its doors in Roseville, hoping to help those taking care of loved ones.
KareGivers of America, an all-volunteer organization, wants to ensure that those who are caring for loved ones who require frequent or live-in care have the ability to take care of themselves, as well, by providing trained and qualified professionals to step in and give them occasional breaks so their own needs can be addressed.
Teams like this one from last St. Patrick’s Day, which includes Kristen King, Julie Maley, Tara Powrozek and Shirley West, will take part in a road rally scavenger hunt to benefit Woman’s Life Chapter 911 and the Sparkle Network on Saturday, March 20.

EASTPOINTE/ROSEVILLE The Eastpointe-Roseville Chamber of Commerce is planning a socially distanced fun event to benefit two local nonprofits.
The Get Shamrocked Eastside Photo Scavenger Hunt and Road Rally will take place at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 20, and will benefit Woman’s Life Chapter 911 and the Sparkle Network.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP The co-owner of a well-known area restaurant has been charged with allegedly killing his wife.
Joseph Jim Palleschi, 55, of Clinton Township, was charged Jan. 19 in 41-B District Court with one count of open murder homicide. His bond was set at $500,000 by Magistrate Ryan Zemke.
Clinton Township Police Capt. Richard Maierle said Jan. 19 that police were called to the Palleschi residence on Vincenzia Drive, south of 18 Mile Road, at about 2:40 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16.
Maierle said the body of Palleschi’s wife, Karen, was found in the area in the house between the garage and kitchen. She was shot once in the head.
